Troop 296 is a Scouts BSA troop for boys ages 11–17, dedicated to guiding young men on their journey to Eagle Scout. Meeting weekly at the First United Methodist Church of Celina, our troop emphasizes outdoor adventure, leadership development, community service, and personal growth through the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Whether it's camping under the Texas stars, serving the local community, or developing life-long skills, Troop 296 offers a meaningful and challenging scouting experience right here in Celina.

For over six decades, Troop 296 has been a cornerstone of youth development in the Celina community. Generations of Scouts have come through the program, gaining confidence, leadership skills, and a deep respect for service and the outdoors. With a long-standing tradition of guiding boys all the way to the rank of Eagle Scout, Troop 296 continues to honor its legacy while preparing the next generation of leaders.
